Aisha Okmi, a student in our Physics PhD program, has received
the Best Poster Award for the Symposium “EQ20: Beyond Graphene
2D Materials – Synthesis, Properties and Device Applications”
which was held during the 2021 Fall Meeting of the Materials
Research Society (MRS). Aisha won the coveted award for her
research poster entitled “How Surface Tension Matters in
Polymer-Free Graphene Transfer”. The award came with a $150
cash prize. Aisha Okmi is advised by Physics & Astronomy
Prof. Sidong Lei.
